Smile Need Some Solid Advice!

Hi guys,
Just joined the forum because I've been recently looking around for a 996TT in manual. I'm hoping I could get some honest advice when it comes to looking out for pitfalls and must-have options for the car. I've heard that a common problem for the manuals is that the car pops out of 2nd gear under deceleration. If anyone could tell me about that, that would be much appreciated! If anyone could point me towards some specific 996TT for sale, please feel free to comment too. The car is going to be a daily driver, so if anyone has a turbo for a daily too let me know what the experience is like. I've come across some very very clean GT2s (996) as well and am definitely considering one. If anyone has one as well, I'm definitely interested to hear any info on them. Thanks for the help!

I found when I was researching before purchasing that the 2nd gear popout was not as common or catastrophic as originally thought. It is a problem, but it is a bit over dramatized in IMHO. As for options, I would avoid the plush leather package because it looks like a loosely fit ****ty diaper. I woul personally run away from most cars with EBCs installed.

Get some seat time in a GT2 an make sure you can take it on a daily basis. Not as soft of a ride for daily use. Awesome cars though.

THIS x 10000000

also have them pull a dme report, and if possible go over the car with a paint meter to check to see if its had any panels re-painted

+1 to all you guys haha. I met with an individual seller today, he agreed to allow his car be put on a lift for a PPI. His car had a cassette player in it though, is this a common feature in most 996 TTs!?
