The current diagnosis is actually not too bad on my wife. She has what is commonly known as MVP (I guess you could call it a boost leak on one of the valves) contributing to her irregular heartbeat and palpations. As long as it's monitored with regular Echoes and EKGs every few months (along with some form of blood thinner medicine possibly) we _should_ be good. Re: MVP. My wife was diagnosed with MVP about 12 years ago. Went through a long series of tests and we then got the diagnosis. Her heart was also enlarged. In the years since her heart is back to normal size and no sign of the MVP.
