radio ***** went bad...

Going to sound funny & strange, but my ***** on my stock radio got all sticky.. I dont know what happened but that rubber material they are made out of seemed to have melted.. its all gummy now, if you touch it, it feels like there is glue on them.. very strange..... has this happened to any one else? Guess I have to purchase 2 new ***** now..

The same happened over here. Actually the shiny coating doesn't like some interior clean & care stuff and goes sticky. I solved the problem by pulling out the ***** and cleaned them with solvent...thinner IIRC. Now they're matte but non-sticky.

Yes . It is a known defect AKA F&ck-up by Porsche that never got resolved so it seems. You can get these ***** from the OEM ( not Porsche ) and install yourself. Do a search and you will find it all..
