Deck lid Turbo badge Placement?

Guys,

The workshop manual says that it should be 332mm in from the left handside and 20mm up from the bottom. Has anybody got an original car that they can check this, as 20mm "looks" too low and I thought 30mm was about right.

Pedantic I know!

I use imperial and wouldn't know a mm if it walked in front of me. I can go measure mine if you have an imperial ruler.

Where are you measuring the 20mm from? From the bottom of decklid it is only a couple of mm's

The specs are correct. 20mm is less than an inch (25.4 mm per inch). Measured from the bottom of the badge, you can see that the distance is about 3/4" (should be .78 inches).

Also, from the left edge of the deck lid to the left edge of the badge, 332mm is approx. 13 inches, which is what I measured.

Of course, it's your car so you should put the badge where ever you want. Just don't tell the forum if it's not a Turbo (inside joke ).

Yeah, the manual says 13.07 inches from the left edge of the lid and 0.78 inches from the bottom of the lid to the bottom of the badge.

So this was the spec right through to 04?

And yes it is a proper turbo, my decklid was painted that's all.

Not sure of the spec through 04, but mine is an 03. I was just kidding about that last comment .
