Manual transmission oil viscosity

Hi Guys, I did some research on here but could not find a definitive answer. I am thinking of doing a transmission oil change and the viscosity in the manual and what ppl use is 75-90, would I risk any damage to the transmission in going 75-140? Any input would be greatly valued. Thanks!

Forget the 75-140, you will have issues with slow and poor shifts when the tranny is cold and on colder days. It reall does not give you any benefits in film strength that are not completely blown out of the water by a quality synthetic like the Redline shock proof oils.

Do not use the superlight or heavy version, stick with the medium.
