Dyno - What gear?

What gear is best to use when running a Turbo on the dyno? If 1:1 is the best overall gear ratio, it seems 5th gear, with an overall ratio of 0.98, would be the better gear. The other option is 4th, which has a 1.12 overall ratio, but that's a bigger difference relative to 1:1.

Would the results change very much between a run done in 4th versus a run dome in 5th?

Dock,
All of the 996TT dyno tests done by AWE on their Mustang dyno are performed in 4th.

We do them on 4th on ours as well. To much load on 5th with the Mustang. When I am on a dynojet I will sometimes use 5th.

Don't know if this helps or confuses matters worse, but, when Todd from Evo and Stephen from IA came to Chicago to dyno test all our cars, they did the runs in 5th....We were using a dynojet 4 wheel drive dyno with the rear diff disconnected....
