Under your user CP (control panel), there's an ignore list. If you put someone on it, you won't ever see any of their posts. It really can come in handy, in certain situations.

In the end I opted for a compromise. Interstate sent me a vent adaptor with short hose that I was able to aim at, but not directly into, one of the drain holes. This seemed better than connecting the Interstate hose to the Porsche hose with the supplied Interstate barbed connecter that further reduced the already tiny Porsche hose which seemed to be mostly plugged (based on my blowing into it) to begin with.

In one sense no vent hose is perhaps the best solution since the battery compartment is mostly in open air anyway where any discharge will be dissipated more quickly than when concentrated and forced down a small hose.
