997TT larger rotor front or rear only?

I understand that there is a kit that allows for using the larger 350mm rotor from the 997TT on the 996TT (330mm).

Is this for the front or rear? How can I tell if the car has already had the update?

Thanks.

Easy to tell if you have stock calipers, there will be a spacer between the caliper and mounting points both front and rear. All the kit consist of is spacers and longer caliper attachment bolts. If you have upgraded the front to GT3 or 997 turbo 6 pot calipers, there will be no spacer, but it should be easy to tell visually as the 330mm rotor will look small under the larger calipers. You could also measure the rotors or check the part numbers to see if they are the 350mm rotors.

The fronts bolt straight up but I don't believe you can use standard callipers, you need to go to 6 spots. The rears bolt straight up but you need to space your calliper out.

The stock calipers can be used in front, you just need the spacers and bolts. If you upgrade the front calipers, no need for spacers, but you will still need longer caliper bolts. A word of caution, even though some members have successfully used the 997 rear calipers, it isn't recommended. The rear calipers have larger pistons, which requires more fluid to operate.
