Humidity=CEL?? (Help)
Humidity=CEL?? (Help)
So I was driving normally tonight, cruising pace, and a CEL went off. Not blinking or anything, just the memo to take it to the workshop came up. I suspect this is because of the humidity here in Philadelphia, which is at a whopping 96% tonight. I had my windshield defroster on for at least 5 minutes because I didn't realize it was on, so I think the water vapor could have set off the light. Any ideas or past experiences?
Hi,Is your car modified,flashed or stock?
High humidity will cause a fuel mixture to be richer BUT the ECU should adjust the mixture,lean it out, to keep it in the set perimeters.
I would think a highly rich mixture outside the perimeters would cause a cell though?
Good Luck
