I was approached by my repair shop recently to see if I would be interested in installing an IPD Plenum in the car. They would give me a break on the part/labor & would also throw in a free dyno test before/after to make sure that the part is actually doing what they advertise. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has installed this part & what their experience/observations are.
I would appreciate any feedback.

 

HI,,You should take advantage of that deal because you will see the results on their dime for labor/test..And as IPD states,,if you are not happy with it > they will refund the price of the plenum...I know they do stick to there word..
Lets just say I dyno tested the one for the stock 68mm throttle body some years ago and I put the stock one back on..I guess every car/combo is different..

Yes, I know a lot about the part (I had one on my 03 Carrera 4S). I just wondered what others felt about the part & if they felt it was worth it.

 

I also had one on my 2002 C2 that I supercharged > I did keep it on that car...
Different set-up and style then our turbos..

 

I have always had great experience with the IPD Plenums. I have seen good gains from stock to high HP. Also power under the curve and response improves noticeably. One way to look at it is that many reputable vendors sell and use it. Also many people have copied it .
Always helps to have great guys at the helm too.
