F14 on my 996tt pic
i struggled with having to order and wait 6-8 weeks but am glad i did. since i remember running 19's previously and not liking them.
oh yeah.. one thought on the lug bolts they supplied me, presumably from china. very shinily polished and crap. they snapped, 3 of them right rear while under the duress of my daily driving style. i now use bolts made in the U.S.A. for as long as i can

so caveat emptor, be careful if you use the supplied lugs, and make of that what you will.
...but that's just the thing..! i can't tell the difference btw the rg5's in the pic.. and the f14's you just replaced 'em with
that switch is a head scratcher to me, but as long as you're happy. no matter. cheers!

they seem to keep more available "here" of the 19's which are hubcentric, ( but not custom fit? ) on hand, while the 18's need to be special ordered because of the barrel(?) being different ( not hubcentirc needs.. insert ring ). then you can special order finish and offset, and i wanted gt2 sizes.

a proper tire shop. that's what i did. they don't look as good. but who cares. i can't overstate the importance of changing them if you drive hard. there are also anecdotal reports of issues with them failing under track conditions also. i had never snapped wheel lugs before

Thanks for the advise!
I should probably update mine as well. Getting ready to take all the tires off and have them balanced anyway. Have a small vibration that started while the car was sitting in the garage! Hate that when the car is sitting then the next time you drive it is doing something...

you kidding? i ordered these wheels after seeing a picture of your car with them. really. so we're even
100%. the wheels are sick. but no way you could've warned us on the lug bolts lol. you wouldn't run the chromed lugs on the black wheels
did they send you matte black ones? if they did, i'd switch em out to be safe.
re missing weights.. no one likes to see that. i notice mine have been placed deep inside the wheel which is cool. all my previous wheels didn't have that kind of deep dish like these have so i could always see the weights.. and the missing tape

I have weights on both inside and outside of the barrel. Not sure how they figured out what to put where but they ran silky smooth! The inside one is missing on one of my rear wheels.
Nope, I have the original chrome lug bolts... With all the problems, I am surprised I haven't busted one! So no warning was possible! :-)

inside the hub. not cool. actually freaked me out a bit when i pondered the ultimate danger of three lugs on one wheel out of five breaking at speed.i do remember the moment of snappage though
these cars are a BLAST.OP, sorry for the threadswerve...
