Front Bumper Opinions...........
msindi,
It is subjective. Looks wise, I find myself looking at the small louver instead of the front air intakes. It's subjective, but I find it distracting from the clean looks of the rest of the car.
Aside from looks the side louvers exits air on the side. Without side louvers the air exits on the bottom. In my case I used the same brake coolers as the GT3 which direct far more air on the front discs. They are far more efficient than the turbo brake coolers. The Techart Front Spoiler II without the louvers exit the air right infront of the GT3 brake coolers making for very efficient brake cooling. I understand the Techart Front Spoiler II has brake ducts in addition, however these are not very efficient as they direct the air straight back instead of to the side of the discs.

I've built some dive planes for my front bumper but, still not happy with how they've turned out so, nothing to show you yet. I really like the idea of removing the spitters out of the GT2 intakes (may have to do that) For those of you that like flared fronts ... Do you think I should make some molds of this front end or does it already look too much like the Manthey Racing front? To me, the Manthey Racing front looks too "fat" I'll post my front again so you can look at both at the same time. Give me your thoughts

The rear was pulled out about 1.5". In order to do that I had to take the inner fender out and cut the inner quarter panel attachment area (front half by the intake) and space it out to bring the whole quarter and rocker out to where I wanted it to use GT3RS offset wheels. The front fenders were flared about 2.5" In the begining I tried to pull the steel fenders out that far but there just wasn't enough material. So, I got some GT3R fenders and start with that and cut those all up until I came up with what you see in the pic. Also had to stretch the GT2 front bumper out several inches to reach the fenders. I think I'm going to make molds of the front but not sure what to do on the rear.
As far as the painting..yup, had to paint everything well, everything accept the roof so, I figured what the hell and took the sun roof out and the rear wiper while I was at it to make it a complete paint job
For those of you that would like a closer look and are in the Los Angeles area, we are planning on having it at the LA auto show starting Jan 3rd in the Hartmann Motorsports both just as you walk in to the parts and access. area. come say hi! I'd love to meet you guys and we can talk more there.

ESK,
Thanks! it started out that I was just trying to get the wheels I had to fit my TT. I'm sorta old school and have a 993 GT2 that I just love and thought the 996 could never compare looks wise ... When I finished this car though, it really made me say hmmmm...
I have to agree with you that it now looks more like what I would expect a "turbo" to look like. I guess I can't get my childhood thought of the first 76 turbo I saw out of my head. Someone else said to me that it now has a "waist line" and that's where the sex appeal comes from ... he may have a point. Now I wish it wasn't black
