The fix to my shifter problems (pics inside)
The fix to my shifter problems (pics inside and cool story about parts)
Hey guys ok went to the shop were I do my work today and they fixed the problem I was having with the shifter..
here is a link to the original thread:
Original Thread (problems with shifter)
Anyway, I am surprised this has not happened to anyone on here as I have heard of a couple more people having this problem, so if it has happened to you here is a GREAT FIX!!
This is the part the kept coming off therefore disconnecting it to the shifter:

Here is a bigger picture, again the circled piece kept becoming disconnected from the shifter:

The solution:

This bolt makes sure that the piece cannot "slide" off and become disconnected. It is a great fix, and the best part is that it is a FACTORY BOLT!!! This bolt and piece are off of a Le Mans GT3-RS that was driven by Kyle Petty in the 24 Hours Daytona!!!!
My car is now officially a race car
.
Well I thought this was a very good solution, if anyone needs more info or needs this piece PM me or email me and I would be glad to help!!
Regards,
Evan

Did not know this was a problem. The big white part is the reverse lock out. I see a screw with a large head that apparently is to keep the shift cable connector from popping off. But the screw is not seated. Am I missing something? Jeff
