Remembering 911
John, Great post. I will never forget, I lost a couple of friends that day. I watch every show every year and cry every time. The civilians who were going about there job, I cant imagine the awful terror some of my friends felt on the 105th floor at Cantor_ I had been on that floor many times, it still disgusts me what happened that day. The valor and bravery of the fireman, police and emt's...when everyone was running for safety and evacuating -these brave man and women did their jobs, running towards the fires, destruction and lost their lives in the process....Ty John and the rest that serve their communities and country.
yeah, you're right. I'll just keep what i heard on the NSA radios to myself.
What about the National Guard jets that got scrambled that day?
I heard communications re: this fact from the NSA attachment that was keeping the trauma ward secure.
i dont think that this made the headlines.
Why was my wife told by a cabbie 2 weeks prior to avoid going downtown?
Most of all - WHY did we KNOW an attack was imminent - but did nothing to stop it?
THATS the real question.
wake up people.

BUT I made this thread to honor the people that lost their lifes and remember what happened in this country to remind us S*** can happen and will happen....
We should all be lucky to be here and alive in AMERICA,,after that..
Thanks
AMEN to that.
I've been all around the world and can attest to the fact that there is NOT another place on the earth like the USA.
Too many people simply take for granted the freedoms and standard of living that we have here.
We can never forget the spirit that makes America great - the fire that burns forever. It all starts with free speech and thought.
God Bless the USA!!!
I cant help to think that on 12/6/41 the US went to war, we fought two nations on many fronts were all done by 8/15/45. the whole nation was behind the effort. The Germans and the Japanese were far more skilled, funded and driven then the rag tag thugs we are dealing with now.
Different generation, different leaders. What political correctness was there on Dec. 7, 1941? I think it was the "all in" mentality then that won the war, in a relatively short time. Sadly today, a lot of people only think about what is going on around us on certain anniversaries, and the country doesn't have the stomach to go all out in stopping the evil around us.
