question about this engine (pic)

look at the pic of the engine...anyone know why the 2 pipes/hoses off the y-pipe look like that? Is that normal? I dont think i've seen that condition before, at least not on a 2004

offroad911 is infamous around these parts
The engine bay has been detailed with chemical & steam causing the rubber of the hose to dry and oxidize. You can see residue on the air box.

A good detailer would follow up the cleaning with a treatment to restore the plastic and rubber surfaces.

Would be nice to replace with new silicone hose kit.

The detailer which detailed the car probley used a solvent based dressing which caused the rubber to oxidize and get that nasty brown effect to it as stated above. Not a problem, just reclean it with a good APC and apply a WATER based dressing to make it look new again.

Car looks great other wise!
