2005 turbo s ...

Hi I am slowly trying to decode my options(I got next to nothing in the way of paperwork with the car)

Option code "418 T RAD Turbo 2 18" GT- Silber" GT 2 silver wheels anyone else got this option? Is it good or should I go back to the 11 inch wheels?
Thanks in advance!

The S model came standard with 18" hollow turbo twist wheels, but they are specially painted GT silver from the factory. Not sure if you'd want to try to put 11 inch wheels on though.

Thanks.
So they all came with 8.5 and 12 inch wheels and tires?

Sorry, I misinterpreted what 11" measurement you were referring to. The stock widths are 8" and 11", but some guys do run the 8.5" and 12" widths with the correct off sets.

normal for the 996 gt2. if they were on your car from the factory then perhaps the 996 turbo s had the larger wheels stock. not sure, but it's the optimum wheel size for the car. your car has nice stuff on it. until you have to mess with the pccb's ... congrats and enjoy!

Having those fatter wheels on the car is a bonus for you. Enjoy them; no need to go down to the stock size. The S had the special color wheels, but the 8.5"/12" combo is even better.

Turbo S came with 8" ft and 11" rear wheels. They also came with a special GT3 looking wheen but in the above sizes. I know bc I had a red ttS vert that came with the GT3 look wheels. It was a great car, would not have sold it if it was a coupe.
