Filled up with 100 Octabne and in was on!
First I plugged in my trusty GIAC switcher and the setting blinked it's way to "race" Yeah! As i slowly pull away, I have to feel this new power and pull a full on power drift onto the banked onramp (no traffic in sight). Definitely improved power.
So this black charger is cruising at like 95MPH when i decide it's time show him who's boss.... we punched it and he was bus lengths behind me after some zigging and zagging. Then he came charging up and kept going and I'm trying to reel down a car that's 75 yards in front of me and traveling faster under full boost in 4th gear at 130 MPH..... to my surprise it seemed like we were locked in distance! We were full throttle for several seconds and ended up lifting mid 130s..... going up a steep grade at that.
How did a charger perform so well?
1. Assume the guy had some power adders 800 HP??
2. Too big of head start and you will have trouble catching up in short order.
3. My turbo is just too slow to play

Sounds like the Charger got a running start when it went by, will take a bit to stop him pulling away and then pull him again. But once it leveled out, if you still weren't catching up, something is wrong. If you buslengthed it from a dead start, that is the real deal, unless it was because you zigged and zagged better.
I have left in the dust supposedly 700 hp (crank) GIAC tuned 18g Turbo's with my 515 whp K24 Turbo on the track. Owner switched to Protomotive said it was night and day difference. There are plenty of stories like it around here. I'm not a fan of GIAC.

typical fly by. I have had so many cars come flying by me when I wasn't racing them, and I am sure that was for them to go home and tell their buddies that they beat a turbo, lol. Next time just hit your brakes before he gets to you and he will see your brake lights. When his buddies ask him if the other cars brake lights were on, he will have to say, maybe lol
