I'm trying to figure out what the deal is with the various part numbers for the rear driver's side subframe.
On autoatlanta.com the number for the 996tt is 996 331 055 01.
I looked on ebay, and searching for 996 rear subframe brings up a bunch of 996 331 155 00 parts. There's also a listing for a complete GT2 knuckle that uses 996 331 151 07 http://www.ebay.com/itm/PORSCHE-996-...729608&vxp=mtr

I'm trying to figure out what the correct part number is for a 2002 turbo, and so far i'm trusting auto atlanta, but i'd love to know what's up with the *151/155* part numbers.

 

The part number your looking for is 99633105501 , that will fit your 2002 Turbo. The other part number is for the non-turbo but has since superseded. Hope this helps, let us know if we can help you with anything else.

 

thanks. any idea what the deal is with the 151/155 numbers? I can't even find those online outside of eBay, etc. and the part numbers are clearly visible in the pictures

 

Those are the numbers physically stamped on the original pieces. They're not used by Porsche to identify the parts in the catalog at all.
