Its finally mine the gt2 phoenix
We have had some issues with changing out the wheels and rotating them after runs and so we converted to Studs.
There has been a fair amount of questioning of the safety of studs so we went to MSI racing products here in the USA that produces for many of the top Grand Am and NASCAR teams.
We have decided to treat them are a Motorsports item with cycle life and you never get more than you pay for.
Cost is higher but as I seem to remember this is what holds the wheels onto my car at high and low speed turns, not a good time to scrimp IMHO
They offer many different sizes and fitments we chose the double threaded type. The website is
http://www.msiracingproducts.com/
The studs themselves are Machined from aircraft quality alloy steel and according to the company
•Undergo strict quality control procedures
•Finished with a baked-on HM-30 coating containing Teflon & Moly
•Twenty-four stock lengths available
Installed this weekend and have saved a bunch of time in just the first cycles.

I believe you can buy those from Carnewal, but I don't see them often.

I couldn't provide a direct link easily to the page, but browse through Interior - P96 Turbo, and then you'll see it listed as 'Leather airbag for 3 spoke steering wheel'. Best wishes!

Sorry guys been a little busy lately
Had some major issues with a crushed main feed oil line located on the bottom of the oil tank and it had to be replaced. of course there was no way to simply unbolt the individual line it was integral to the tank so we had to find one.

Since there was not even one located in the Porsche parts system in the united states we contacted GMG and they referred us to Los Angeles Parts Dismantlers who did a great job of getting us a high quality used part shipped out in three Hours. Now that's service.
We then dropped the motor and did the install

Then back in with hours to spare before the three day event at COTA.

Thanks to a bunch of people we got to drive.

We run the NT01 and R6. Nt01 still hold up so well. We vary camber per track conditions but ill pull the setup sheets and get you a range.

Couldn't agree more about Fisher...
I bought the cleanest 996 turbo I could find from Jim at Fisher last year. They picked me up from the airport, I fell in love with the car immediately and drove it straight from Fisher to my house in Alamo about 5.5 hours north. It was a great day
[quote=Vonschmidt;3671851]New to me GT2 Complete Build I have owned and driven many cars and including a 996 and 997 however I really wanted a Widow-maker, the quintessential Porsche with every ounce of rubber torn out, the best suspension components, built by a world class team and this is what we are starting and wanted to share with you guys.
Thank God for the internet it allowed me to research and locate cars across the country, and perhaps by fate I stumbled on what I consider the deal of a lifetime. *A pristine GT2 garaged and cared for, driven only on special days, but under this Garage Queens skirt was a rel surprise as the previous owner had already started our conversion for us putting in only Quality parts from GMG,Tech Art, Eibach, and Moton.
I found this through Jim Teagartner at Fisher Imports in Laguna Beach, California. If you are ever in the market for a well cared for low mileage gem these guys have a sleepy little warehouse off Laguna Canyon Road stuffed with cars that would make you drool. *
And so our journey begins, we will be completely custom building the suspension system to give the car a much more aggressive set while still maintaining enough street drive-ability to obsessionally drive to dinner or the club.
We will be going through detailed setup and suspension and want to share the journey with you. This forum and others and the members have been invaluable in gaining knowledge and showing me their dreams and through this encouraged me to see out mine.
To start the Car In Laguna Beach California.
We picked up the car today in Laguna and enjoyed driving PCH, you guys out there are lucky.
