I went up to santa pod here in th UK a few weekends ago for the last "event" as such for the car this year.

After having an EB Werks exhaust fitted a while back ive been looking forward to getting it back on the strip, and this time with a decent sound track behind her. :wink:

I was hoping to be able to dip in to the high 11's but only managed a best run of 12.051 @ 123 mph. Almost there!

Car is running a 1.2 bar re-map with full 3" catless exhaust so guessing around 520 bhp?

Still pretty happy though as even on my best run i felt that the start could have been a little better.

If you've not tried it then you should as its a good day out & an excuse to get the lads together for a few beers & bbq over the weekend.

HI, If you practiced leaving the line,60'' times,you would be in the high 11s no problem..
You should be able to get them down to atleast 1.90's...Practice makes perfect..:)

You've got the mph for 11s....launch it at 4k and it should net you a 1.8 60ft.

Depends on how he launches at that RPM.

Good time for what you have and drive the car. These car take along time to learn how to the leave the line.
I spent almost 2 months of practicing and burning up 1 set of tires but I got it down packed now. Get set of tires and practice you will do a 1.6 60 ft And don't listen to the bench racers saying you will break axels. Wheel hop breaks parts

its not the eaziest thing to explain. i tried that with Todd BHT and i hope he understood. I may just make a video of how i do it so its a quick step by step deal.

1- Good tires, Drag tire, not road race- sidewall is key!
2- reve the car to 4000, back to 1500 back to 4000 back to 1500 so basically like a 2 step but its you controlling it.
3- dont worry about cutting the light if its just a time your looking for because you have to leave right when you go back up on the throttle to 4000 so it just coming up on rpm so you dont blaze the tires

I pull 1.8s all day long on street tires with the EPL launch control, and the last time I visited the track..I did it with PSM on.

Just wondering , you didn't say anything about how you release the clutch and when you get the pedal to the floor while working the two at the same time.
To me that is the most important techqniue to master once you FIND the right RPM to launch at.

It hard to put it in a message. Its a technique. everyone has a different clutch i had a GT2 had to slip it one way, then a custom built POS then had to be slipped different and now my Light switch clutch, I found that the point where you lay into the throttle at 4000-4800-5000 was crucial so you don't fry the tires. you have to be good on the clutch pedal to know where to release it or leave it engaged, that just cant be written.

I actually am quicker off the line thru first gear Not using my launch control and doing my techqiue.
SO, I guess there is no right answer , just testing and playing..

Agreed. $400.00 in tires is worth the investment if you plan on going to the track a few times a year

..and even for stop light racing..lol
