Good question Ken. The hardest thing is working out the programming. If we can work that out I would say about 8 weeks. If I have to send car out to Cali then it could be longer.

I couldnt wait for 5 months to order a turbo i want so i did the mistake of getting the tiptronic one off the showroom floor. I am going to get the new TTP transmission for the car to upgrade it to 620bhp but thats as far as i can go. Also waiting till i finally get my K24s installed. Other then that, still no plans for the vette.

Duane,
As much as I want to engage in the proverbial "spilling of the beans" or "giving it up" as they say, I wouldn't like to open the can just yet. I am trying to complete a bunch of things for the Tail of the Dragon meet at which time they will all be debuted. I know, I know, it sounds a little childish but there is a lot of blood, sweat and tears (my own!!) going into this effort. Suffice it to say the mods do not include increasing the power beyond what I already have (not to be confused with "had").

Evan,
Try this on for size........(I am not trying to exclude anyone, just having a little fun)

Cali:
Fred and Endra with their twins

Florida:
Duane and Evan (if you sink enormous funds into the car) with their twins

NJ:
KPV and Sean (close enough!)

Ken, I will never have the funds to even make my car a brother of Duanes let alone a twin . I might be doing SOME of the stuff he is, but nothing even close to his!!! In my dreams....

ESK,
Fill me in on the removal of the airbag warning labels. How did you do it? Did it cause any damage?

Ken,

I have the leather visors, but I've done it on the vinyl ones as well. The leather visors have actual stickers on the bottom whereas I think the vinyl ones have the stickers "painted" on the bottom, just like on the vanity mirror.

The easiet thing to do is pull off the visors and work on a bench. Just give them a good tug and they'll come off the metal arm.

Just use a rag and denatured alcohol. I've read that others have used a 3M product. If you're uncertain, try an inconspicuous spot first. Anyway, keep soaking the rag and using a clean spot since the labels will gum up the rag. It takes some work, but the labels will eventually "soften" up and disolve. You may end up with a rectangular spot where the lable used to be that is a little shinier, but it sure looks better than the label.

Good luck.

Eric

Ken, you are definitely putting in a Nav system since you are asking about removing the alarm light cover and about reverse signal tap...

Something I did to take care of the rectangular spots where the stickers formally resided was to take a rag with black kiwi shoe polish and polish/buff the spots away. It may take a few coats, but the spots will virtually disappear. Worked very well on my GT3 vinyl visors...
