N/A and turbo 996 alternators the same?

See title, local shop quoted me $1300 for an alternator, gotta find it cheaper.

Did you try suncoast parts? Call Ryan and ask him. They usually have very good prices on parts.

west coast is infamous around these parts
you can also try Sunset Porsche, I have dealt with them and they sell for 20% over dealer cost I believe.

You may want to consider having it rebuilt. My Porsche dealer offered me that option for $250 with a 1 year warranty. They sent it out to a local starter/alternator shop for the rebuild. Worked well for me.

exactly what i was going to say. Much, much cheaper.
