Intermittent grinding sound from right rear wheel

I recently replaced the rotors and brake pads on my 03 TT with all new OEM parts. Now I'm having an intermittent metal grinding/sh-oozing type sound that is coming from the right wheel. The sound is constant and does not go away. The sound does not change if I apply the brake, pull the emergency brake handle up to engage the parking brake shoes or turn the care to either the right or the left. The sound does not change until the car slows down to 5 mph and then the sound gets a little deeper but is still present. The sound is like a rotor that's warped where it makes the metal to metal sound as it comes around and hits another piece of metal. However, the rotor is not warped. I've taken the wheel completely apart down to removing the caliber, rotor, and pads and cannot find anything that would be making this noise. I also checked the hand brake shoes and they are in the appropriate alignment with no springs or fittings missing. It has standard suspension and standard turbo 18" wheel. Would a bearing make this type of intermittent noise? If so, how can I check to see if its the bearing? Thanks much. TIm

It's not a bearing, bearings don't make that noise. Check the dust shield in the area around the inside hat of the rotor, where the drums of the parking brake engage. I bet you're contacting there because the parking brake wasn't retracted enough when the old rotor came off.

Thanks! I'll check it in the morning. Hopefully, that's all that it is.

The easy way to diagnose is if it only happens when you have lateral load on that tire. Does the sound happen when cornering only?
