Another new Guy!
Another new Guy!
Well, not brand new, purchased her the end of September.
I'm from Oklahoma City, making a living in the industrial real estate business. Life long auto enthusiast and collector of way too much crap (or so says my wife-LOL!).
The 996 TT is a 2003 Polar Silver and totally stock, 28K miles. Lots to learn about this new beast, my last porsche was a 71 911T back in the early 80's, wish I still had that one. So far all I really have done is drive her, a few short road trips and bunch of around town, maybe 6-700 miles. I have other DD's so no one car gets too many miles.I'm very active with our local Subaru community, I have 3 (STI, Legacy GT and a WRX dedicated race car) so I am already dialed into flat/turbocharged/AWD cars!
Lot's to learn and a few issues to address, but that is to be expected with a 9 year old car. 6Speed seems like a great, informative and helpful forum.
Here are some pics. On the road home from picking here up in Austin:

At Hallett, my wife drove the TT up to the track the weekend after getting her, to watch me play with my Z06 at a track day event (boy, do i miss wheel to wheel racing, Subaru has been on the rack for the last year, next spring we will have it back out):

Two weeks ago, after a detail, removal of the ugly Texas front plate holder and my first mod-clear side markers.

Umm sorry we are not taking new members at this time, you will have to sell the car and join the other PCA... Prius Club of America.
BTW nice clean looking car and interesting shop.

Is this the X50 that was posted on Craigslist around the time you bought it? I saw that advertised at the same time as the one I bought and it looked super clean but was out of my budget.
I believe in stimulating the economy and life is short, so why not!

Blake,
Car looks mint! Nice color choice and you can't beat that low mileage as well. Enjoy! I'll be in touch with tracking # on your exhaust.

Nice choice on the exhaust, too. After all the youtube vids I have watched I have decided I want the same one. My first priority is repairs, though. Waiting for a new radiator to come in.
I've always liked silver cars, it hides the dirt really well. The hint of blue in Polar is awesome. It reminds me of a subtle version of BMW Fjord Blue, a color we painted my mom's AH 3000 back in the 70's.
