Philadelphia area DIY help?

I'm new to my 2002 996tt, and generally enjoy working on my own cars as much as my limited skills and tools allow.

Are any of you guys who work on your own cars in the Philly area (I live near Fort Washington, north of the city)? I'd love to get together an pick your brains and try to learn a thing or two.

At this point I know next to nothing about these cars, and would love to learn enough to do basic things (e.g., oil changes, diagnosing vacuum leaks, installing diverter valves, trouble-shooting coolant issues, etc.) I know that there are some great DIY guides posted here, but there is no substitute for seeing/doing things in real life.

That engine bay is quite intimidating with so little room to work (I have a constant fear of dropping a screw or some clip into the bay, never to be able to find it again.) My prior experience on land cruisers was much easier -- giant engine bays with lots of room to work

I've purchased the Durametric tool. Now I just need to learn how to take the next steps in troubleshooting the codes coming out of there.
