OEM Alcantara :)
I had an upholstery shop cut up an oem headliner and I asked them to wrap the tach area. Looks beautiful. Only $100 bucks in labor as well. In addition to this, they also did the two moldings on each side of the stereo.
Makes the car look MUCH better. I'll take better pictures tomorrow.

the super abridged diy,
1. remove peices
2. seperate carbon from piece.
3. trace old carbon and cut new piece out of carbon veneer, i got mine from dragonplate.com
4. stick it all together and put back in car.

Lots of shops, but there are some that are not so reputable. No different than any where else.
BTW, awesome garage in your avatar.

I dropped off the car at the body shop as I know one of the reps and he had told me he works with an upholstery shop that does great work. I dropped of the car, and I guess he calls them over ? as my car had 0 miles added when I picked it up. I'll ask him for their contact information, if he can disclose it.
It's raining pretty bad so hard to take pictures from outside.

Just saw the second set of pictures. I really like this project, thanks for the idea. The lower pieces look pretty straightforward but I'm most impressed with the dash surround.
