DIY CV joint boot replacement HELP
DIY CV joint boot replacement HELP
I had a torn front cv axle boot. I picked up new boots and removed the axle dust cover, took out the spring clip, and tried to wiggle the cv joint off but it is stuck
I tried a jaw puller but got nowhere - I didn't want to put too much pressure on it so I stopped when it would not budge.
Anyone have any suggestions? I have always found them easy to slide off on other P cars, so I am guessing they are just seized. Anyone found them to be stuck on like mine? If they are seized is it even worth fighting to get them off?
I replaced my lower control arm 2 months ago and tore the boot removing it to get the axle out too......sigh.....one of those days I guess...
