Big HP numbers on pump gas?
Thanks

Actually those turbos are like Alpha tial, maybe not the same but really close with 0,63 A/R and cheaper.Binh's car(mental) use FP HTA 3071.The only problem is that you need extra headers!

I started this thread to see how much,,meaning safely,,can be had out of a combination with 93 octane.Everything has to be just right..

It takes alot more skill to build and tune ANY engine to make max. and more HP/TQ with a lower octane fuel...
Most of use are crazy about our cars on here..
im not sure if tims car was stock motor or not , But scotts car was stock motor and had a lifter go bad , so since he opened it up to replace the lifters he put in a set of rods .
trying to run big numbers on pump is a disaster waiting to happen...

Mike I am happy but always looking at, the next step up, 3071s...
It seems now to me that most never put a combination together to see the biggest HP that they could get SAFELY on 93 Oct or have solid data posted so far on what big turbos on pump can do.
YES we all know to turn the boost up with race gas to get power easily and cheaply..
EXAMPLE, Can 3076s on a safe 93 map, low boost, be worth the expense?

I made 720 rwhp on pump 93 with 20psi of boost gt3076r's 997 intake halves, mild porting and modded 60lbs injectors. built motor, would not try that much timing on stock rods. The problem that is overlooked is the pump gas runs much hotter then race gas/e85.
IMO, pump gas is too unreliable to tune to the "max". Yeah, you might make 600-630rwhp on your current tank of pump gas, but on your next fillup, wherever that might be, you pump in 15 gallons of crap gas and now your yanking so much timing your back in the low 500's for power. What's the point?
To me, it's a no brainer to run 100% meth, 50/50 (even WW fluid) if you want bigger power with smaller turbos. helps cover the octane penalty and adds cooling..and it's WAY cheaper than race gas. I was at 600whp and almost 650wtq with 93/meth and still wasn't close to max on my 18g's yet. For how much I drove my car, I used 5 -10 gallons of meth a season...about $50 or so...

+1 ^ I'm on my third year and still running great
i never understood why OP doesn't use meth. 18g's are made for high octane.. its seems to work ok on 93, but wonder why he doesn't try meth before taking a chance? good luck john!! i was told by todd that i would not seem much if i went 18'g and didn't run race fuel, meth, ect..
