The H2 is cool looking but not the best of quality, my cousin has had 3 H1 Hummers and they are no joke, thats the way to go, as mentioned about the G500 above the truck is great, we have an 02.

Relative out in Montana...

Has been getting several Unimogs(sp?).... Totally redoing these things completely over for multi purposes. Mainly forestry/ all terrain self contained fire rigs. I must say, the few pics I've seen of the finished products were amazing...

YEAH RIGHT!

Not in a million years man, I had an H1 and I have been off road with it, your Range Rover would have been destroyed trying to crawl over the 2 foot tall boulder trail my Hummer handled no problemo. Bring it on Rover boy!!

I have a H1,

its big, its bad and I love every second driving it.

Its a beast yes, but you will never feel safer, well...maybe in a tank.

With prices so low right now, I'd pick one up if I were you.. Ebay has them in the 30's and 40's

An H2 is a great car for the price, some places are taking 9 grand off '03 cars. H1 is the best, but it cost 100 grand new, plus the resale value drops alot.

picking up H2 tomorrow. buying a 2004 h2 fully loaded. GMAC SmartBuy program made the price LESS than a 2003 due to higher residual, lower interest rate. trade in of my rubicon plus a couple of grand down left me with a $627/month payment for 36 months. i can own it, refinance or give it back at term. just got back from a 3 hour hummer event in long island. catered event, short film, techs there to go over vehicles (H1 AND H2) every nook and cranny, test drives of both vehicles, t-shirts,etc. i met 40-50 H2 owners and when i mentioned to them about the "it's a 60 K Suburban" they responded the same-anyone who says that should read the specs on the car. All in all a very enjoyable evening for me and the kids.

I have to chime in here!!! I have a 97 H1, a 1968 Mercedes Unimog with 44" tires, a 1993 Range Rover LWB and a new 2004 Range Rover. The Mercedes Unimog will kick *** on all of them. Then the H! and followed by the Range Rovers.
