Using Todd K's formula of 9.25 hp/lb/min, that equates to 434hp/turbo or 870 crank hp on a 996TT (call it 730whp).

should be no issue seeing over 600 rwhp( as long as you have the supporting mods) on 93 oct with these. 3 weeks lead time
Out of curiosity; how much did they quote you to rebuild your K24's to this spec?

its all in your perspective. k24/18 turbos run 2000$ alpha 28 run 5000$ so if these are a decent setup the price is pretty good.

my concern is the hotside being able to push enough air to make the hta 68 wheel worthwhile. also fuel is my achilles heel. im regulated to a 93 tune due to lack of race fuel or e85 in my area so most of these turbos wont get the power i want anyway. i would be lucky to see 30 to 40 hp gain with 24/18 @ 2000$

I was referring to the actual cost of the upgrade relative to what other vendors charge for a 18g/20g upgrade.

I do understand what you're saying though.

I wonder if the turbine housings could be ported to run a larger wheel? - Just a thought.

Unless you are building a high HP highway brawler...18g's are a great turbo for a street car...hit hard and carry out for a while...I had minimal mods with my 18g's, but it ran great...

Agreed.. I am finding out more so now since I have been torn on to go up a notch from my current 18gs, while still running 93 gas.

Even a k16billet with proper mods and good tune along with a sound boost leak free set up is strong... k24 based billets just give you more up on top with a little low end sacrifice...

Are you saying that your K24 billets are different and better then 18g's?
If so is it worth doing that as my next upgrade from my 18g.. Thanks.

I wasn't even talking about 18gs vs billets...

the truth is that most of the k24 based turbos are very close to each other.. some a little better but most of you will never even notice... you guys are wasting time... its the installation, WG adjustment, and leak free set up that really matters... last 3 cars that showed up at the shop with various turbos inc. A28s ran like a k16/16G at 1.1 bar... WHy? because of other issues which were unrelated to this turbo or that turbo... whats the point of spending al this money if your car runs like crap... do a boost leak first... you will thank me later...
good luck to all...
ps. ever wonder how Randy with k16billets ran a 5.86 60to 130? basic k16 billets without any MAGIC?
