Killed my passenger turbo, upgrade or rebuild?

So i managed to kill my passenger turbo. Per Jake @ TIAL and Todd @ Protomotive, I'm running the Tial GT2860 ball bearing, oil/water cooled turbo found on the old EVOMS GT700 setup. Anyway, I managed to kill the passenger side turbo. Now I can either rebuild them, or upgrade. I'm leaning toward upgrading to the 3076 just for the power and potential of the turbo. I know there are the A28, A3071, SKI850, as well as any other combination of turbo and header that might be a possibility. Just looking for suggestions, and possibly insight from people that have been in similar situations. Have tracked as well as highway and half mile runs. Will be staying stock block now, but possibly doing rods in the future. Will need a retune anyway. What do you think about 3076 or something else, with mod listed below? What would you do/suggest? Lets assume budget is $10k

'01 Turbo 6spd
Stock headers, Milltek Catless exhaust, TIAL GT2860, 60# injectors, Steel braided upgraded fuel lines, Water/meth tapped into Y-pipe, flexible turbo inlet hoses, EVOMS V-flow intake, EVOMS hitachi maf, EVOMS boost hoses, EVOMS IC, EVOMS custom GT2 hybrid clutch, EVOMS/GIAC tuning

If you track a lot 76's probably wouldn't be much of an advantage, i have the exact mods you have list d, water/meth, hard pipe intakes, i went with 71's, great setup,

I planned on sending them for rebuild anyway, and then selling them. Since I'm not going to use them. Unless you want them before the rebuild. PM me an offer

I don't track alot, but the car is a near daily driver. Poor weather and all. Plus the occasional canyon run with friends. I've been curious about the 3071, so I appreciate the feedback.

Well it went out during an airport roll race event. Not sure what exactly lead to it, maybe too much boost, not enough cooling, or it was just their time.

I think the 3071s are a good choice since you have all that low end power/spool of the 28s, going to the 3076s will definitely be a noticable difference in what you loose down low..
If I go to the next turbo upgrade, it will be 3071s as Todd from Protomotive and I have discussed..
Good Luck..
