Quote: I concur! I have had vehicles on my dyno at 50psi and above - no gate actuation required.
At that point you might as well just weld the heads on like they used to do with some of the Pike's Peak cars. Head Gaskets are for people that don't trust their internals.. Good luck at The Mile and TI Todd. Pray for a strong tailwind.

Funny... I was joking around about head welding while on the dyno one day.

We did some testing last night with the new set up. The IATs seemed to be very consistent and about 8* over ambient.

The car is pulling very hard and shoots flames. I ran an 1100hp C6 twice, once on low boost 1.3bar from 55. He jumped and pulled. Then we ran from 67mph and I turned up to 1.8 bar and I drug him dirty.

Ran MCGT3 (1030hp 996TT) twice on low boost. Pulled on him, but he's learning his car (ie: he needs to turn off PSM) His car is stupid fast though. Also ran a 950hp C6 Vette on low boost. he pulled me uptop. She breaks loose a bit on these old tires. New R888's will be installed Monday.

I still haven't turned it all the way up, but it's much faster now at 1.8bar than it was at 2.2 bar.

Your car is definitely pulling hard Todd - and it shoots flames! Congrats, you'll have a great run at the Mile.

Yes PSM OFF helps, so does setting boost controller properly.....

Amazing car, and amazing runs this weekend. I got to see a couple of them although I could not even come close to keeping up. What are you using for the tuning side? MoTec? ProEFI? Syveccs? That car is a monster for sure and I can't wait to see it in action again.

Very Respectfully,
James O'Hara

ps
thanks for the help with finding a place for my coolant pipe fix.

Thanks James. Hope to see you running with us in HTown soon. Get those coolant pipes fixed and you're good as new.

I'm definitely hoping to be back good as new once these are fixed. Wish I would've went there first, but it was a desperate time for sure. Now I'll be good as new and would love to run with you guys, although I'm bone stock LOL.

Tire spin was more of an issue than I thought. After looking (and listening) to the videos from this weekend, I was spinning as soon as boost was hitting around 95-100mph. Sooooo the new R888 315/35/18's are on and we are hoping that they clear the wheel wells. Finally got around to wrapping the straight pipes today. Side view mirrors are also coming off. Thanks to Peter and Steve.
