You are back starting more **** again? Why? We don't care about straight line speed racing! Stop it with the bench racing!

I told you this on the last post that you made about the Supra Turbo vs 911 Turbo.

997GT2,

I don't believe "destroy" is an appropiate word. When you talk about cars with this kind of power no one is going to destroy anyone. It would not be appropiate for me to even guess because frankly I don't even know the set up.

I can tell you that no car can excell in all catagories. Is a particular car set up for street, race, drag, track? The more extreme you go in one direction, the less it will be able to perform in another. Porsche's do well is a straight line, however the particularily excell in the twisties.

My old numbers when we bent all six rods were about 900 hp. The new motor will be somewhere past 1200 hp @ 2 bar with programmed nitrous. There is alot more to KA than power numbers. She is an all around car which means she won't be the best in any one catagory. But, taking all catagories together ........... she will do just fine.

Listen, son, this is the second time when you have started a "bench racing" thread on this board. Why? Are you trying to stir **** up? What are you hoping to accomplish?

None. He is an 18yr old kid that enjoys benchracing. He started a thread just like this last week asking if a 650hp Porsche would be faster than a 700hp Supra turbo in a straight line or something like that. He also posted that same question on Supraforums. It was as if he wanted to create a problem of sorts or to test cars given what hp they produce w/o actually racing them.

Heck, we ourselves often argue about our cars and I've seen it on every board from BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. Now I do take offense to the "destroying" of the English language. I take the word of our esteemed senior members that this fellow is looking for trouble but I don't think we'll ever see an end to "bench top racing".

PS: No question Superman is stronger than Batman. The real question is who is the better Superhero. Read on for clarification.

Cjv's comments are right on. We need to define for what purpose is a car being built for. We can not fairly compare cars built for different purposes. We can take cars out to illogical extremes- how much horse power and torque do we really "need"? When does a car become a race car or dragster versus a great road car?

Well I do not think even CJV would argue making highly modified cars is a rational endeavor. We do this because our love of cars and trying to attain perfection of our vehicles in our OWN WAY and capacities.

As to who is stronger Batman or Superman, well as to 997GT2. I would say you may need to refine your comparisons; but otherwise may you never lose your love of cars.

This idiot is 18?? Seems more like an 8 year old to me. He needs to spend more time learning how to communicate and less time on the internet nut swinging off cars he doesn't have any clue about.

997GT2 Why dont you ever try a search. If you take the time to search, or read CJV's thread in the tunning/modification section you will find out the weight.
