Opinions on Falken FH 452 ? (for 19 inch wheels)
Folks,
Looking for a decent budget tire for my 19 inch HRE rims.
I've had PS2s on them (they actually quickly wore out), Toyo TR-1 (not so bad) and was going to order Nitto Invo's, but they seem to be on backorder with no anticipated resupply for the next couple of months (I contacted their HQ). My only other option for the 315/25/19 rear tire is the Falken 452. From what I can read on various forums the reviews are mixed. The ones who are positive like following aspects :
- stiff side wall;
- reasonable wear;
- good in the rain
Anybody here running Falkens in the same configuration as mine ? Opinions ?
I have a convertible with medium upgrades (turbos, flash, exhaust) and I do not drive too aggressive on the street.
Thanks !

While not the exact setup I think the Falken's wear very fast. I have 315/30 18s, Falken Azenis 615. They're probably good for 10,000 miles. I think they are decent in the rain and grip is very good but it has to be warm outside. Anything less than 70 degrees and they spin a lot if you're driving spirited. I was thinking of going to PS2's as I liked those a lot on my Corvette. How much life did you get out of the PS2's?
Not a lot, maybe 3 or 4K miles. They totally wore down on the inside of my rear wheels. While partially due to the camber of the stock set up (cannot be remediated unless you get aftermarket shocks), I did not find the PS2 s to be worth the markup.
funny, my experience is opposite. i find ps2's to be the best after the oem pirelli's the car has had for normal street driving. i've a;ways run them but yeah, 1800 a set is becoming tiresome, and it's impossible to find deals on ps'2 rears in 315/30/18.. but i'd rather have cheap wheels than cheap tires. i think you'd be doing your hre's a disservice by running falkens.. though i haven't had a set of those since i tried to cheap out in '97 on my 993 lol.. but..
things change, so maybe they are better now. my one set of hankooks reminded me of falkens. cheap.
