Where did the bumper come from? Is it for sure a genuine Ruf part? If so, maybe the TX Ruf guys can help somehow? There are knockoffs on the market, so unless it came directly from Asgar at Weissach, the TX boys or Aloise's place, it's suspect. I've heard there have been people in the US selling knockoff Ruf parts here as real ones. Just curious. Good luck with it. I agree with others, looks much nicer than stock.

It does look nice, but there is no way I would put up with that "warp". RUF should take care of that!

Man I like the look of the bumper, but I am with Super D. I hope it is a genuine RUF part and that someone can help you with the fitment problem.

Love the wing, the bumper...not so much. It doesn't fit right and I agree stock looks better than that Ruf.

The car looks fantastic Doug. The wing compliments the car well. The RUF bumper should be replaced or removed. Asgar from RUF took care of a problem I had in a fashion you rarely see these days, great service.

We will see. It is kind of a pain to put those Ruf bumpers on. Had to flip the center radiator and reposition alot of stuff. This is not an easy bolt up job due to radiators and plumbing having to be repositioned. New plumbing hoses and all had to be used. I would probably be out at least another $ 2k to go back to stock because of bent brackets and stuff taken out.

If I get a new one that is straight, it still has to be painted. Either way, I am looking at even more money and car back in the shop for who knows how long.

I hate to say this...especially since you spent so much cash.....but I would put the stock bumper back on. Just doesn't look right on the Cab. Maybe on a coupe it willwork better but on a cab it's something totally different. Just my .02 cents.

I know. When you know its there, you always look at it. I mean it looks really bad if you are standing by the front wheel looking foward at it. Looks like my whole front end has been total and misaligned during rebuilding when you look at it from that angle. Not good on a $ 140,000 car.

Bumper is kind of bland. Really doesn't look much different than stock. You could have achieved a similar effect with a new lip on the stock bumper. I'd take it back for that kind of money. Either that or go buy the techart. At least the techart looks a lot different than stock. Ruf body pieces never really impressed me.

I am not too worried about the cash, but it does waste a lot of time going back forth to shop. I lost more in billable hours yesterday than the bumper costs, but I needed a day off anyway.

I am also more worried about the looks and am not offended by hearing it looks like crap. I am very mixed. In person, it looks really unique and my wife thought it looked cool.

If it fit properly, it might not look so bluged out around the lip area which bugs me. The lip is too big. If the lip was about half its size, I think the bumper would be perfect. The lip is just too pronounced.

a good body shop would have prepped the bumper correctly before painting it. if it doesnt fit after initial install it is very common for a shop to make alterations so that its perfect. Once its perfect, then it goes to paint.
My techart GTS front needed some prep work, but now fits as good as OEM.

Not sure you understand, it is not fiberglass. The body shop I used was actually one of the best. They really don't do insurance stuff. They charge very high rates and pretty much do nothing but restoration of old Poraches, ferraris they do Lambos and stuff like that. They were working on a 1965 911, a 64 and 65 356, old Jag, Turbo Cayenne, a mint looking 69 GTO and an old Mercedes was in the shop with my car.

This bumper cover was polyurethane??? and the holes and everything are bsiacally like OE. It pretty much plug and play except for the radiotor issues. This bumper would be just like buying the OE bumper. The only way to modify would be heat it up after looking at it today, I am not sure anything can be done but take it off. I doubt think it can be reshaped like fiberglass.

They have done the Fiberglass stuff and had those so bad they actually had to cut them in half and in sections to make them even fit. It actually might be easier to modify if it was fiberglass as opposed to what I have.
