Adjusting the shifter cables

I just want to check the shifter cable tension.

Can this be done just by removing the gearshifter section (can adjusters be accessed from there) or do I need to remove the whole centre console?

Also is it true that the locking bridge tool can not be used if short shifter is fitted?

Thanks.

You've got to take the center console out to access the adjustments to the shifter cables. It's not a hard job (threads have been posted) it just take some time. If you order a short shifter, the locking bridge comes with it.
