Have any of you guys consider a Gallardo as your next car?
Another thing to consider is you lose your a$$ on an exotic like the Lambo if you actually drive it and put miles on it.
The same with a Ferrari. Plus the parts cost for the Lambo versus the 911 will be far greater.

There are a couple build threads in the lambo forum with details, not too mention a great thread on building cost of built GTR vs built Gallardos. Would be a great too compare them too a full out GT2/Turbo.
I've come to this fork in the road twice actually. I first had an 06 Gallardo Spyder and while an attention getter, it was slower and less responsive than my C63. I then bought an 08 SL with the notion of getting a TT job on it, I couldn't stand to be in the car for more than 30 minutes at a time. Granted, it was an absolutely stunning/menacing looking car, and people freaked out everywhere I went. However, the car was just hard to fall in love with as a driver.
I always end back at a Porsche, every time. That being said, one of my Porsches is for sale because I'm currently in love with a new girl - we'll see how long it lasts.
At the end of the day, they are two different cars and while both may pass the "seat of the pants" test, only one is a true drivers car.

I would not call a Gallardo **** slow. In stock form, an early Gallardo is about 4.3 second. The later LP560 is about 3.7 second. With tune, intake, exhaust, you can expect 560hp for the early Gallardo and sub 4 second time. Plenty fast for me.
Your modified TT will outrun a stock G in most cases. Turbo cars are especially easier to make more HP. 911 pulls strong in 0-60 and typically will slow down after triple digits due to smaller displacement. I think G actually may pull ahead in a 1 mile drag race.
There are some key differences in the driving experience. The Gallardo is more planted and balanced. It sounds better and is about as reliable as a TT in stock form. That's pretty amazing for an exotic. It's the best value exotic right now I think.

I think the comparison above is between a modded TT and Stock G. The comment posted above was that a Gallardo would pull ahead in triple digits. The OP"s car went 195 in the Mile...I have a hard time believing a Gallardo will do that stock.
gallardo is a very interesting and exotic car..sometimes i think about a gallardo spyder....but should i change my gt2 with the real topspeed of a aventador for a "g"....only if i have the money to mod the gallarodo to a "underground monster"
for my understanding it is much more expensive to tune a gallardo, no special information about the car, very rare expertshops around you,
if you like it stock it is a super car

Oh boy, here we go.
A Lamborghini is a good looking machine, it's not fast.
My C63 AMG drug my Superlegerra from 40 & 70, it wasn't close. Both stock except for tune.
If we are talking about modded cars, it all depends on what level you want to go to. I believe an air cooled 964 TT just did pretty well at TI. Does it have the curb appeal of the Lambo? Not to most.
