Anyone ever try one of these.

My JIC Cross Full Titanium exhaust will be coming off my car and going up for sale soon and I am looking at my options.
With so much Hype and talk about exhausts on here it is just so hard to filter through the BS.
Right now I am a full 3" exhaust with no Cats and I will stick to something similar. I must admit I do love the sound of EB works system but I am thinking it just might be to loud for regular driving and I am just not sure if the X exhausts are robbing potential power.

I have brought that exhaust up several times and mentioned on how good it looks like it would flow better over a normal X merge pipe,, BUT no one has had any comments on it other then they made big HP with there Protomotive builds with it.
I have heard the 3'' system when I was down there at his shop and saw the fantastic quality of it..It did sound aggressive with a really good bark..
I hope you find out more about it and others take notice of that design..

Hey guys ,, Really??..
I think we are talking about performance here not versatility,,plus how many really use that option ,which I do also agree is a nice option..
I believe this is more a performance choice/topic..

IMO, the reason exhausts that keep the 3 cylinders separate or barely "kiss" the two sides are not very popular any longer is that they do not sound nearly as good as a true X-Flow and they tend to drone much more and these are not considered desirable attributes by the majority of TT owners.
When using our 3" X-Flow exhaust that 32Krazy, Bobbyfali and XLR82XS are referencing, you can hear the turbos whistling predominantly, as if they are literally exiting to the open air - the system is that open to the air. There is very little restriction with our full 3" system and it produces a sound that will constantly draw unsolicited compliments from all marques of automobiles. Very few want an exhaust that is overbearing in the cabin or lacks sound quality compared to what is available...As for performance, we have had a few instances where customers switched to our 3" X-Flow from a conventional exhaust and their clutch started slipping on the first pass after the exhaust change - obviously the clutches were close to going, but the increased power and torque from the 3" X-Flow was too much for the clutch compared to a non-X system.

Maybe your exhaust will be in my future one day..
I took that catless Fabspeed 2.75'' X that I tested on the dyno and sold it because I liked my toned down stealth mode of the 100 cell Milltek.

That is rule #1 in exhaust performance, Scavenge -- and heat out. maybe not the best for sound but for performance it sure is.

You exhaust is not going to over power my ERP triple carbon clutch BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you willing to put you money where your performance mouth is. I would Dyno my car before your exhaust and after it. I would expect every bit as much performance as my JIC cross full Ti system. If not would you be willing to take it back no questions asked, no excuses. We are putting a full 3" system up against another 3" system but I know not what is in the enclosed Ti Can of my JIC.
It would be going on a very very well prepped and outfitted billet K16 car with all the associated accessories.
Performance talks!!!! Failure to meet goals and expectations gets a free vacation home back to its vendor.
the clamps on the setup you listed squeeze the tubing on top of each other and become a major pain to separete the tubing. v bands flanges are pressed together and can be separeted easier than the traditional setup.
using speedtechs setup as an example allows you to run cats for emissions and extended O2 sensor life. within a few minutes you can loosen the vbands swap them out a catless section and go racing. ez peazy

There are companies that make lube for slide together sections of exhaust like the ones on the Proto pipes. The Akrapovic stuff is my favorite, it works like a charm.
I will never put Cats on my car, well not unless I am forced to by the government. We have no such laws in my area here in Canada.
