I will, at first my problem seemed to me to be just a simple case of a blown fuse due to the shorting of the light, and because I could not immediately find the key to the fuse box to determine which one had blown, I searched in the forum and, to my amazement, instead of a simple blown fuse I found your saga, which when added to the message that I have showing on the dash, made me realize that I possibly had a much larger problem.

That's the beauty of the forum, buddy. Give and get. As for the problem, not sure it's bigger per se, just "different" if you will. Save money at the dealership by telling them what it is. All the diagnosis is done.

Sunday Update: In my case it was a blown fuse after all. Third row down in the fuse box, #3, 15 amp fuse, blown. Once I replaced it with the spare, all leds went back on. However, I still have the messages in the dash, "PSM off, and ABS off, take to dealer". I am assuming that when I changed the back stoplight in the airfoil (I have the convertible model Turbo S) for the one with leds, that caused the messages. I will try replacing the led airfoil unit with the factory one since I kept it, just in case, and will see what happens. When I changed all of the LEDs in the back lights, which I did months ago, I did not get any error messages then, so by process of elimination, I assuming it is that (the car has 24K miles, so what else could it be).

Same happened to me when I fitted the LED airfoil light while having also LED's in the tail/stop light. You cannot have LED's throughout as at least one has to be incandescent type.

Every bulb in my 02 turbo is SMD LED except signals and headlamps. ZERO issues ever.

Went to the dealership Saturday regarding the trunk light. Informal walk-in visit. The service techs were pretty dismissive and told me it's a fuse. I replied about changing every one. They said there's another in the module under the driver's seat. I KNOW it's not that one because I just installed the smartTOP and remoteTOP units which rely on that module, and they're both working fine.

Anyway, I was basically ignored and given the "we'll ask around and get back to you."

I'm not holding my breath, and will sooner go to another dealership than beg this one to do their jobs.

That fuse handles my door panel lights, and probably the trunk, deck lid and glove box. But I won't know for sure until I get them fixed. I reconnected with my old indy who used to wrench my 968 back in the day. I'm sure he'll get it sorted out.

There is a great write up at Pelican Parts on this. It may not be the LEDs.

Do you have airfoil LEDs?
