Need help!
I need you guys help on this one: ever since the gauge cluster was installed couple weeks ago, I've noticed that every time after 15-20min of driving the temp. gauge indicator would start rising past 180 (usually it stays at 180), and the oil temp. gauge in the cluster would also start rising and go past the peak. So i thought the engine might be overheating so I'd to either pull the car over or cut my drive short. But it doesn't seem like the engine is over heating cuz I'm not loosing boost.
Anyway this started to annoy me so I took my car to the dealer this week and just got it back yesterday, the service rep. told me the reason was due to low coolant level so they refuled it, and there's also no sign of leak of the coolant either. However, on the way back from the dealer, sure enough, the samething started happening again as the temp. started rising again...it seems like coolant is not the problem.
Do you guys have any idea on this one? It's getting very frustrating as I'm constantly looking at the temp. gauge to see if it's rising again and getting ready to cut my drive short. I'm planning to take the car back to the dealer again next week as my regular service rep. will be back from vacation, hopefully he'll be able to find out what's really wrong with it.
