Depreciation for 2004 TT Cab

Just out of curiosity, do you guys think the 2004 TT Cab will depreciate less than a 2004 TT Coupe.

I figure since it was the first TT cab in a long time and since they only made them one year (I believe they were replaced with the TTS Cab in 2005), they're a little more rare than the Coupes.

That being said, I could imagine that an argument could be made that the Convertible doesn't hold it's value as well as a Coupe.

I just wanted to hear the opinions you guys had with regards to this!

Thanks,
KJ

Here's my equation:

Sticker = X
Paid X - $25k
Sell (with 5k kms.) X - $35k

My prediction is that the cab will depreciate at about the same relative rate as the coupe.

The 2004 TT cab has depreciated quite a bit. I believ wholesale money is low 100's... Although they were only produced in 2004 and 2005, Porsche produced far far more turbo cabs in 2004 then turbo coupes and they produced 5x the amount of turbo s cabs as turbo s coupes.... I would bet the turbo s coupe holds value better than a turbo s cab. My money all being equal, I would much rather have a turbo s coupe then turbo s cab. Just my .02

KJ,
You might some posts about Alan (6088TTS) 05 TTS depreciate 30-40K CAD with 4 months 3000km drive. His ex-TTS is selling at DFC right now at $195K. I don't think there were many TTS coupe in GTA and when he ask around with the dealer. He is suprise with the lower $$ dealer want to pay for such a rare and new car. I think 996 will not hold value as 993 not metter is a TT cab, TTS or even GT2. If you buy it new, dirve it, enjoy it and don't think too much. If you don't want it depreciate too much, find a used TT!
