valve keepers

Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestions how to reinstall valve keepers. I have the head apart and replaced the seals without problem but I'm having a bear of a time getting the keepers back on. I tried a cheap spring compressor and a removal/install tool (http://www.tooldiscounter.com/ItemDi...le&kw=LIS36050) but neither seems to work very well. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks
J.

I use a C type compressor. Also put a dab of oil to help hold the halves of the keeper in place till I release the compressor.
