I bent up some aluminium mesh to fit where the stock grills were. I think the look is much better than stock - and no rocks get through.

I'm close to pulling the trigger on these as well. Zunsport outer grills replace the stock, while their center grill mounts over (outside) the existing. According to Rennline instructions, their outer grills look like they actually mount behind the existing,,,IDK about the center, but it is not the look I want.

I think Sliders version actually looks better than both of those.

Slider, any pics of how you mounted?

I would shy away from those mesh screens.

They don't do anything to block off the area around the bumper support. All the air going into that area will not be going though the radiator. Remember that air will follow the path of least resistence and flow around the radiator if possible.

This looks better than I thought it would.

To each there own but the car looks like *** IMO with the splitters/grill. Having no grill or the mesh wire in the other post looks awful IMO

I didn't take pictures of the back, but the aluminium is really easy to manipulate. It's just a matter of putting tabs through the existing mounting brackets for the OEM grills. From a distance, you can't even see the grills. It's very subtle and functional. To me, it doesn't look like the airflow was affected in any way compared to OEM.

I think I see what you mean, and that must be why the stock plastic grill is angled in that section to flow away from the bumper support, right? So, won't Slider's set up have the same issue?

Yes he will.

I just noticed he hasn't block off plate, he just painted the support black.

I'm not saying the car won't function just fine for most of what they are used for, I'm just saying you are giving up some of the cooling capacity designed in by Porsche.

Driving around with nothing in front of my rad's would scare me. Though the stock grilles are pretty large and open, at least they keep big debris out and probably the majority of rocks. I'd say its only a matter of time before you get a hole in a rad without any protection.

I've had a set of Rennline grille screens laying around forever that I plan on installing. Hopefully get to them soon! The build up of crap can really harm the radiators and I want to prevent that.

When you clean out the radiators, you will see the stock screens keep very little out. I have even pulled a full size bird out of mine. Let's just say, it was too large to get between the slates without spreading them apart.

The good thing about removing the grills, is you actually have access to clean everything out regularly without removing the whole front end.

You could always add a grill like this. I would protect the radiators, look more aggressive than stock and look better than the slates.

Hmmm, that may be worth a try. I just need you to fabricate me a cover for the bumper supporty to divert the air to the radiator !

I had to cut the ends off my bumper supports to fit my Techart Bumper! Maybe paint the bumper support black and put mesh in the holes?
