I have heard numerous exhausts on Porsches and I have found only one so far that does not drone.

that exhaust is the Protomotive Exhaust. If I had not tried one on my own car I would not have believed it. I have not found one single place where this exhaust drones. NONE!!! NOWHERE!!! ZIP!!! Yes you heard it, there is absolutely not one condition I have found that makes this thing drone.

The exhaust sounds fantastic, it has a higher pitched more exotic car sound. Mine is the full cat less 3" system and it is so easy on the ears. The sound level in the car at cruising speeds is very very mild but the exhaust throws a lot of sound out the back of the pipes, noticeable to people on the street or to the driver when you drive through a tunnel or under a bridge with the windows open.

When I purchased this exhaust I was done with loud and drone and thankfully I found it in the Protomotive exhaust. I inquired with several other venders and none of them would put there money where there mouth was when it came to there system with the exception of Todd at Protomotive.

I am a very very hard person to please when it comes to fabricated goods; my welding and fabricating is usually art. I will say that this exhaust is not art work in its welds and bend fitment but it is not bad enough that I would really complain; especially seeing how you can not see unless you are right under the car.

Here is my journey with my search for an exhaust https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...st-thread.html

For my cash I would buy another of these in a heart beat considering how good they sound and with ZERO drone! I had some slight issues fitting the exhaust but it came down to my aftermarket headers being slightly different then factory I figure. I figure this because I have talked to several others that have used this same system since I did mine.

I am glad you like that exhaust..
I think it has the best flow characteristics of any exhaust except for straight pipes...
If it wasnt so aggressive sounding when you get on the pedal, then that would be my choice but as I live in the city and my car is a daily driver I like to be more in a stealth mode the way I drive...I know Todd can make it in smaller ODs then the 3'' which might help tone it down..
My 100 cell Milltek does not drone either..

Tomas- the yellow local car - had miltek with 100s and it droned. I ran it and logged it so I had some experience.
My point is - drone is subjective but anyone that puts on a catless exhaust with 2 small Mufflers and says it doesn't drone must be deaf- seriously.

I agree Drone is subjective to each..My hearing is not the best..LOL..
Some call Drone when they give it a little gas pedal from a steady cruising instead of a steady RPM..
I know with my hearing at a STEADY speed it has no drone that I can detect unlike the Fabspeed I tried which had 4 small mufflers..
