EXPLICIT is infamous around these parts
Suspension options

Looking for alternatives on suspension upgrades.

Car is 996 TT. Looking to improve on handling without driving like a racecar as the car is a daily driver. Will do the odd track/weekend warrior event.

I know of the Bilstein Pss9's and Gemballa/H&R coilovers....what are guys here running and your opinions. I've found the front tends to understeer if pushed too hard too tightly (as expected) and adopting the slow in fast out approach works best. Any way of dialling a little of the understeer out would be great but im very happy with the car's neutral handling for a factory setup.

Has there been any need to update sway bars/links etc?

cheers

Jme

Suggest you search archieves........you'll find plenty of threads on this and other Boards like Rennlist......yes, H&R and Bilstein are 2 of your options, there are more. People have been tuning the suspension on the 996TT for over 4 yrs.
If you're afraid of getting her too tight, Pss9's with adjustment may be the route to go.
Personally, I find H&R coil-overs fine, and if you want to get the ride height down fairly low, H&Rs are probably the better option bet those 2.

Anti-sways?......H&R is one route to go...........their bars are 3 position front & rear..........I'd suggest aftermarket adjustable DLs to go on those to make connect-disconnect-adjust easy (and corner bal easy).....TRG or SCarGo are a couple options.
Between setting rake, ride height, corner bal, align (w/desired settings), tire pressure f/r, and placing the rear bar a notch or 2 tighter than the front.........well, you can make the 996TT suspension do just about anything you want.....certainly dial-out most of the under you may feel.

Good luck to ya.

I had the H&R coilovers for a while and, IMHO, they were terrible!! I think the Techart coilovers are far superior for day to day street driving (I do not have meaningful experience with the Pss9s). I am currently using JRZs and the handling is razor sharp!

Another option is the KW v3 which I have 3 way adjustments. Also have the H&R sway bars front and rear.
