I recently picked up a car and I had boost and throttle response and some other codes pop up right away after buying it.


After further investigation the car had completely rusted wastegates and one of them had two holes in it. Also the throttle body had rust/crap all over it and the throttle body sensor had rust on it. Seems like once I got the car and ran it hard the stuff from the watsegates shot up through the throttle body and onto the sensor and coated everything somewhat.

The car has full bolt ons and tunes with meth injection. The car would sit for 3-4 months every winter and the car sat more than average in the last 3-4 months before it was sold.

Can meth injection add to the overall moisture somehow the waste gates, throttle body and or throttle sensor??


Has anyone seen this issue when cars just sit? (regardless of meth injection)


Shop said the car should be perfect after the few changes.....
