the real verdict on the back seats
6' in the back seat ?!? That poor ba$t@rd!
Riding several hours to Sebring, me 14 and my brother 9, trading spots in the backseat of dad's 911 crammed full of lawn chairs and coolers and blankets...one of my fondest memories. We could have taken the Cordoba and had plenty of room, but then we'd have shown up in a Cordoba. Of course it's possible to ride back there.
I will say, The fact the back seats folds down for a flat hatch section is pretty awesome (if you don't have a bose sub box back there). I did a golf trip with a buddy, we fit two golf bags and our weekend bags all in the porsche no problem. I was pretty impressed.
I'd say that after age 11 or so - it is a no go. My son was 15 when he first sat back there, passenger seat as far up as possible. OK for a 10 minute trip, but not much more. No one ever say back there again.

Perfect. This is why my 7yr old son and 11yr old daughter (two youngest children) still love taking Daddy's car everywhere.
Who knew a 2+2 doubles as a family car (when the bigger kids are somewhere else)?
My daughters are 17 and 14 - 5' and 5'5". They love riding in the back. Scoot the seat up a bit, and let your kids enjoy your car - they'll grow up to be Porsche nuts too. If it's just Daddy's toy that no one else gets to enjoy, they'll end up driving a Prius.
It can be done - maybe not cross country, but it can be done.
