Yea, but that shows ~550whp on pump. The others were on racegas. Didn't know if you were running race gas or pump. I figure most of us are running pump.
Again, not hating on k16 billets at all or your choice. (also just bought a set of billets myself) They've proved them self again and again on just about every test out there. I was just trying to see if I had missed some revolutionary change out there. /QUOTE] He had billets but the 6 blade vs the 7 blade... the 7 blade is twice the money... I think there is alot of confusion out there when it comes to k16 billets.... no they are not all the same... And yes as earl stated, it has a lot to do with the tune as well.. BTW, we he did it on our tune and 3.5" ICs... furthermore, he broke the A28 record as well... same set up... just different turbos... markski |

Awesome info, thanks Markski. Those are the ones I've got myself. Just waiting to get em going with the supporting injectors. Great info also ya im excited i would have went bigger but i didnt want to blow the motor LOL. |

The tune/boost in which how fast and hard it hits also has do with it

I wanted more power (up top especially) and I didn't know if the cylinder pressures with the extra heat with such a small turbine would actually be much more of an issue on the motor then a larger turbo when I start pushing it's upper limits of the smaller turbo's like BILLET K16's. I don't know if my blow head gasket had anything do to with the above or just a freak. When I spoke to very respected people on this forums, other tuners that have been around for along time and found out that alot of motor failures (ie rods etc) & head gaskets (ie laying back & others include myself) happens with the smaller turbines, I changed to a larger turbo's as part of my plan for more hp instead of squeezing out more from a smaller turbos. I would automatically lean to-wards the A28's because it is EVERYTHING that the BILLT16's are, but better everywhere, but because of the above and you had the hit on the rods at low RPM, I am apoting for something larger. Thanks Bobby Ali ba |
Wait i usually only go to 6500 RPMS does the RPM raise up with EPL's tune? on 16G Billets?

You can request that it doesn't. The only reason a tuner would raise your redline is if you are actually making power up there or you ask them too. I wasn't making any power after 6500 or so, but I wanted the extra revving so I didn't have to shift...
Ohh so im guessing k16g billets will not make any power above 6500 RPM? |

HI,What you say makes great sense BUT you said you were going to run Meth with the bigger turbo upgrade which will make more HP when it hits max boost, meth will have it pull harder until that, and you will probably not lose that much low end as compared to the 16s on pump gas..IMO..
I so hope that you are correct! I am hoping that with the K24 BILLET 20's with clip, for no more then 2-300rpm's higher in spool compared to my Billet K16's, BECAUSE NOW along with the BILLET 20's I am going to be running a Aquamist Meth(100%) kit, EVOMS inlets, Speedtech's HiFlow inlet Plenum and a light port and polish of the heads (I do not think this would make a difference in spool, but hopefully more top end power). I am thinking if I stick with the K24 BILLET 20's, the money I saved from not doing the Alpha 3076's I can do a good flowing intercooler set up. I am not to concerned for the heat as the meth does that job better then ANY intercooler can, not to mention the octane boost etc. Fin density would be less of a concern as flow would be more important with the meth set up. Fingers crossed! Thanks Bobby Ali ba |

Once the turbos come in next week will do a dyno at whatever he sets me up with for boost. Then i will add injectors in a couple of months.

may as well do injectors now. you arent going to get a final file on the first try. im on my 5 file after my initial baseline file. datalogging takes time, the car needs to adapt to the new files and then datalog again. its an ongoing process and tossing injectors in the middle of it will only skew the data and you will be starting over again
Agh i see did you just upgrade also? |

now my car isnt a daily so there were times when it was a month or more ofter a tune before i got the weather and time to datalog. so since feb of this yr to now 5 files have been loaded and will continue to datalogg and reflash as long as tony thinks theres progress to be made |
