My car made almost 600whp with all stock intake piping, IC's and airbox...with original MAF. Never blew one.

You and I are the only ones from what others post...:)

Well i guess its my MAF tried it without it hooked up and no hesitation at all. Crap i should bever have WOT in 50 degrees weather. The MAF does not like cold weather.

You should see full boost from a K16 frame turbo under 4000rpm, might want to run a leak check and make sure the gates aren't swinging open early.

On another note, if you're making the power to push your car to a sub 7 sec 60-130, you're on borrowed time with a 5 bar, IMHO. Highly recommend you get a durametric hooked up and check AFRs and injector duty cycles.

996tt550hp Nov 8, 2013 08:59 PM

Good point i am running what he told me i cant go any higher until i get injectors. Ya there is no way im getting full boost at 4k maybe 4.5k to 5k but im still on stock wastegates to protect the fuel so i dont overboost also i just found out my MAF blew again lol well i cleaned it will see.

996tt550hp Nov 9, 2013 07:57 AM

Ok so i have looked at the dyno graphs from AMS and now i see our full boost kicks in right at 4k rpms but our power doesnt fully get there until 4800k to 5k rpms......

Also im not sure if Tony does Mafless tunes?

996tt550hp Nov 10, 2013 12:25 PM

Guys still getting the same code. Heres what happens when im stopped and rev it up a little it hiccups.

Ok Earl you are right heres what i did.........

With the MAF connected i did some runs then after that i got a code P0175 and P0172 (Rich Condition both banks) and it lags big time when i punch it at 4k RPM the turbos dont spool until 5k RPM. I have serious turbo lag.

Well i just took the MAF connection off and heres the result.......

So far no codes except MAF low voltage because its disconnected also when flooring it no turbo lag when i hit it at 4k RPM it spools up all the way to redline no turbo lag.

Ok so do i have a bad MAF? i asked him to raise my idle to 800 RPM because of flywheel.

ttboost Nov 10, 2013 02:38 PM

Don't go boosting it too much with your MAF unplugged.

996tt550hp Nov 10, 2013 02:59 PM

Maf has nothing to do with wot the 02s take over open loop but geres the thing this is annoying now the same thing with the maf sensor off when i rev it up it hesitates this is odd i can take a video. I think i hear soemthing by the TB like hissing sound.

ttboost Nov 10, 2013 03:10 PM

Flirting with disaster, but do what you want.

Regarding your hissing noise...Check this?
