I would like to say Hi to every one I have been a member for a while but silent enough to read, maybe with a couple of comments here and there.

I'll cut into the chase..
I'm the proud owner of a 996 03 tt and the car has 911 tune that was installed from the X owner, so I added a Milltek exhaust to it and the car has good legs to run how ever i have no idea what she is making no dyno numbers yet, the question is:

I would like to have the Agency dual filter box on the IPD plenum the 3.5 intercoolers and maximise or make a use of what I have befor jumping into K24 or even more add to that I like the quick spool thing.

And then again there friends of mine pushing 800 whp on there tt or gt2s and they say nooooo go with GT32 thats the minimum you should.

Have any one maximized the K16 and what was the power.

Thanks for the help in advance.

congrats on the 03. i have one as well.

to your question. i have hybrid 16/24's which i would imagine is the best way to maximize a k16? lol. it'll get you to roughly 500awhp with supporting mods, but you'd need every *bolt on* in the sequence to do it. eg good tune/ic's/exhaust etc etc. but it's a great street/canyon or occasional track setup and in the driving conditions i favor, i've never felt at a loss for *power*. i'm at 550 crank ( give or take ) eg at least 475 - 500 whp.so in a canyon? scary fast, would be fair to say.

here's some more credible info about them. i think 16/24's are a great middle ground upgrade that doesn't sacrifice any reliability. but there are 100's of threads on the pros/cons of the various turbo upgrades available for the platform. this said, i've only run 16's stock 24's.. and again, for me. the hybrids are by far the best of both worlds.

if i were you? i wouldn't go straight to k24's. you'll hate the lag. we all do ( or did lol ).

Thank you very much for the useful info. I will dig more and see which will be more effective for me in terms of the way I like the car to behave, on the lag issue how laggi is it? 4500? Thanks man I appreciate the help.

hard to say exactly. they ( 24's ) lag then you get your head snapped back into the seat. but i noticed you liked the quick spool of the 16's which is why i so strongly favor the 16/24's. they hit boost from roughly 2k rpm all the way up and there is virtually NO lag and i get boost nearly instantly. they are phenomenal. whereas the k24's lag,.. then HIT. i often describe it as a two stroke motorcycle that is a bit bogged down and that hasn't hit its power band, but then once on the pipe..lookout. 24's work just fine lol.

lots of reading on the differences in here. gl with the car.
